The phrase “Private Equity” is fast becoming the common phrase in the Global Financial Markets as “Hedge Funds” in the 90‘s.

However as more companies entered into the Private Equity band-wagon, so does the diversity of its product offering and its investment, which have led to further blurring of lines between the traditional activities of Hedge Funds, Venture Capital and the common Mutual Funds & Collective Investment Schemes.

 

At Setiya we believe that Private Equity should revert to its traditional role of providing risk capital to private companies & businesses and development projects. However in order to maximize client’s return, we believe in the extensive and diligence applications of the latest investment & capital market financing techniques to fully exploit any arbitrage opportunities presented in the investments.

 

Worldwide Private Equity Investments has on average grown by 39% yearly since 1997. Demand for more tailor-made financing facilities by borrowers as well as excess liquidity in the world money markets were factors that significantly contributed towards the growth of Private Equity.

Our objective in managing our family funds is the preservation and growth of capital in all market environments. This “absolute return” focus characterizes both traditional and non-traditional asset class investing and provides the guiding philosophy for our asset management process. In our traditional portfolios (bonds/equities/currencies) our asset allocation models are driven by top down macro-economic analysis and the creation of “model portfolios”. These benchmarks are constantly reviewed and in our discretionary portfolio mandates we seek to outperform the model Through our associated funds we seek specific market inefficiencies and combine this discipline with careful stock selection.

 

Out performance may be the result of buying cheap

credits, selling volatility managing duration carefully or simply excellent fundamental stock analysis.

 

In addition we use our own software driven Trading Activities with high returns for clients and certain mechanism to secure the principal Fund through our partners.
